Concerns & Complaints

We are committed to providing a respectful, ethical, and supportive learning environment. If you have a concern, complaint, or grievance related to the training experience, we encourage you to bring it forward so it can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.

Concerns may relate to any aspect of the training, including instructional content, trainer and/or consultant conduct, practicum experience, accessibility, safety, or adherence to EMDRIA Basic Training standards.

How to Submit a Concern

Trainees may submit concerns using any of the following methods:

  • Email: Megan@clearwell-emdr.com
  • Written submission: P.O. Box 134, Fernley, NV 89408
  • Direct communication: You may also speak directly with a Trainer or Training Coordinator, who will document and forward the concern for formal review if requested.

To support a thorough review, please include:
  • Your name and contact information
  • A clear description of the concern
  • The date(s) and context in which it occurred
  • Any relevant supporting information

Anonymous concerns may be submitted; however, this may limit our ability to fully investigate or respond.

Review and Response Process

All complaints and grievances are taken seriously and reviewed promptly.

The process includes:

  1. Acknowledgment: You will receive confirmation that your concern was received within 5 business days.
  2. Review: The Trainer or designated Training Administrator will review the concern, which may include gathering additional information as needed.
  3. Response: A written response outlining findings and any planned actions will be provided within 15 business days, whenever possible.
  4. Resolution and Follow-Up: If appropriate, steps will be taken to address the concern and support a constructive resolution.

Escalation

If a concern cannot be resolved through the training provider, or if the concern relates to ethical conduct or adherence to EMDRIA standards, trainees may contact EMDRIA directly:
